Photos and entries
Atlas stores photos, places, dates and notes on your device. It reads photo dates and location metadata to suggest entry details. It does not edit originals in your photo library.
Group sharing
When you use groups, your Apple identity and email, group nicknames, memberships and selected places, dates, notes and photos are stored in the Supabase Tokyo region. Uploaded photos are resized and stripped of EXIF. RevenueCat verifies Pro purchases linked to your sharing account. Members, including later joiners, can view and save shared content. Unsharing or leaving removes shared data, but cannot recall copies saved by others. Signed photo URLs remain valid for up to 60 seconds after issue. Delete your sharing account from the sharing screen; local personal records are kept separately. Report reasons and identifiers are stored for operator review and deleted within 90 days. Your username and profile photo are also stored in Supabase. Photos are resized on your device and sent without metadata such as location.
Maps and place search
The iPhone map connects to Mapbox. Map requests may send IP address, device and usage information. Location use follows device permissions. Mapbox telemetry options are available through the map information button. Apple geographic services may resolve places from photo coordinates.
Purchases and advertising
Apple and RevenueCat handle purchases and restoration, using purchase history and an app identifier to verify access. Free-version ads may use Google AdMob, which processes IP address, device identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostics. Available ad privacy choices can be changed in settings. Atlas does not send photo or note content for advertising.
Retention and contact
Device entries remain until you delete them. Providers’ policies govern their retention and processing abroad. Contact details and messages you send are used to respond to your inquiry. Contact the listed operator about access, correction, deletion or restriction. Depending on applicable law, you may withdraw consent or complain to a supervisory authority.
